About the Journal

About the Journal

ÆPTIC: Journal of Plasma, Bioelectrics & Evolutionary Science is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to interdisciplinary research at the intersection of plasma physics, bioelectromagnetics, systems biology, and Earth–life sciences.

ÆPTIC provides a scholarly platform for studies that investigate non-linear, field-based, and phase-dependent processes underlying biological organization, evolution, and planetary coupling. The journal encourages research that moves beyond purely reductionist models by examining coherence, synchronization, topology, and electromagnetic interactions across molecular, physiological, ecological, and geophysical scales.

Rather than advancing a single doctrinal framework, ÆPTIC welcomes diverse theoretical and experimental approaches that explore how phase relationships and field dynamics contribute to biological regulation, adaptation, and emergent complexity. Particular attention is given to integrative systems perspectives, including coherence-centered frameworks such as Phase Network Biology, alongside other independent theoretical and experimental approaches that investigate biological organization as networks of synchronized phase relationships across scales.

What Does “ÆPTIC” Stand For?

ÆPTIC represents the conceptual pillars of the journal:

  • Aether – historical and modern field concepts relevant to space, plasma, and vacuum studies
  • Plasma – ionized matter and collective electromagnetic dynamics
  • Tesla – resonance, electromagnetic induction, and non-local field interactions
  • Innovation – exploratory, non-linear, and transdisciplinary methodologies
  • Consciousness – investigated through biophysical, neuroelectromagnetic, and systems-level perspectives, with an emphasis on empirically grounded approaches

These elements reflect the journal’s commitment to bridging classical foundations with emerging scientific inquiry.

Mission

ÆPTIC aims to advance theoretical and experimental research that elucidates cyclical and field-mediated interactions among biological systems, environmental processes, and planetary dynamics. By integrating insights from plasma science, resonance theory, bioelectromagnetics, and systems biology, the journal seeks to clarify mechanisms that sustain biological coherence, ecological stability, and Earth-scale processes, while fostering scientifically grounded innovation relevant to health, sustainability, and future technologies.
